Renée Wolfe is a distinguished writer, producer, and director, celebrated for her award-winning films such as A Man Called Otto starring Tom Hanks, Christopher Robin starring Ewan McGregor, and World War Z starring Brad Pitt. She is the co-CEO and co-founder of the production company 2DUX2, which she operates alongside director Marc Forster.
Wolfe received her film education at New York University and the San Francisco Art Institute, benefiting from the mentorship of renowned filmmakers Bernardo Bertolucci and Gordon Parks. Her directorial debut, Sueño starring John Leguizamo received critical acclaim for its innovative all-Latino cast and was the opening night or closing ceremony film at numerous prestigious Latino film festivals including NY, Miami, SF and Morella. Under her leadership, 2DUX2 has produced a diverse range of projects, amassing over $850 million in international box office revenue. Their latest film, White Bird starring Helen Mirren, premiered on October 4, 2024. Wolfe currently is developing a sci-fi feature, QT 54, focusing on artificial intelligence and the essence of the human heart.
