Activities
EqualVoice is always planning new events and projects to promote gender equality and ensure all voices can be heard! Read on to find out more about our current events and projects:
EqualPYXX
The real world is varied and diverse – and the images used in the Swiss media do not reflect this. Women are strongly underrepresented from a visual perspective. With this mismatch in mind, the EqualVoice initiative launched by Ringier will be holding the EqualPYXX Photo Challenge from August to December 2023 together with womenbiz ag and Keystone-SDA. EqualVoice aims to use this competition to set an example and bring more of the real world to the images used in the Swiss media.
EqualVoice Summit 2023
The second EqualVoice Summit organised by Ringier took place under the motto «The Power of Images» and again garnered great interest from 250 top executives from the international world of business, film and media. The programme of this year’s summit included speeches and presentations by internationally renowned personalities on topics including gender equality and the power of images. Key highlights of the event were our star speaker Geena Davis and an exclusive appearance by singer Anastacia. The partners of the second EqualVoice Summit were, as in 2022, the Müller-Möhl Foundation and Range Rover Schweiz.
EqualVoice Pop Up Event 2022
In December 2022, EqualVoice collaborated with VW to organise the first exclusive pop-up event at The Square. Under the slogan «We move», a fascinating panel discussion took place with female speakers from the world of Swiss sports and business: Lara Dickenmann, Luana Bergamin, Sandra Betschart and Patricia Widmer. As a fitting conclusion to the event, a World Cup match was broadcast live afterwards.
EqualRun 2021
The EqualRun took place on July 29. The race to learn more about equal rights was organised in partnership with sports brand On. At six stations, participants were able to find out more about the issue of gender equality from a historic, business and artistic perspective. The 4.5-kilometre run through the city of Zurich was supported by On and its latest running shoes in all sizes. David Allemann, co-founder of On and member of the advisory board of EqualVoice, showed great dedication to the topic of equality, which motivated not only a large number of runners but also our initiative.
